The Borough of Oakland Water Department serves roughly 12,700 residents from seven wells inside the borough that are blended together before they reach your tap. The most recent federal monitoring round, covering 2023 to 2025, still showed PFOA and PFOS around 22 to 23 ppt. Until treatment is fully online, what comes out of your tap depends on which wells are running that day.
